I chose to become a lawyer to help people.
Since I began to practice law in 1973, I have been dedicated to serving every client with
compassion, patience, empathy and understanding. My goal is to educate clients to allow
them to make informed decisions about the best course of legal action.
In estate planning, we discuss the differences between a Will and a Trust and what makes the most sense for each individual’s needs. In a personal injury case, we explore the opportunities to settle without a lawsuit yet leave open the path of litigation if it would truly be most beneficial for the client. In probate matters, my staff and I work hard to move the process quickly yet remain sensitive to the emotional trauma of the loss of a loved one.
Throughout my years as a lawyer, I have been guided by the principle that each person I have the honor of serving is a fellow human being first, a client with a legal need second. I do my best to allow my heart and mind to work together to find the best solution to every problem.
I remain passionate about the practice of law. I am proud to be a lawyer with integrity. My greatest joy is to make someone’s life a little better by having been of service.
He is a frequent contributor to the Sun Sentinel and Boca News on legal topics.
His primary areas of practice are: (1) personal injury (auto accidents, motorcycle accidents, slip and fall, plane and train accidents, and miscellaneous personal injury claims) (2) Wills, Trusts, Estates and Probate.
He began his career working for a divorce lawyer. But he discovered that no matter how good a job he did, his clients were always unhappy. His responsibility also included handling all non-divorce cases, including personal injury. When he negotiated his first settlement, resulting in his first happy client, he realized that personal injury law was his future. He began his own practice in 1976.
He has handled thousands of personal injury cases, developing his own negotiating techniques and strategy which he shares in his book “How to Settle Your Own Personal Injury Case.”
Through the years, he has also represented thousands of clients in preparing their Wills and Trusts. As he and his clients have aged, he finds himself handling more Estates and Probate.
He also regularly counsels clients on the importance of having legal documents in place to prepare for the possibility of legal disability. These documents include Durable Power of Attorney, Designation of Health Care Surrogate and Living Will.
